  1. The 1930s and 1940s were a very important decade for the development of cinema in general and horror films specifically. The 1930s saw a boom in cinema admissions and this was, remember, a time when television did not exist as we know it today.

You have conducted a proficient level of research but I am a little disappointed that you did not make greater use of new media technologies in its presentation. I had recommended using Prezi but you have chosen to submit something which is significantly less dynamic.

Can you let me know how many sources you used to conduct your research together with a brief explanation as to why you chose this particular format for presenting your work?

    1. I was confused by the instructions on your blog of not using Microsoft Powerpoint; I thought you meant that we couldn't produce presentations at all, which made your recommendation of using Prezi very bizarre to me! I would be happy to remake this in a more creative format if necessary.

I used the recommended websites on your blog, as well as several other sources such as IMDb and RantHollywood, which I used to make observations on the archetypal plots of popular films at the time. I also used websites such as filmsite.org to look into the historical context, and how that affected cinema.

  2. OK, fair point and I apologise if I confused you! There is no need to redo this work. One of the things that you need to learn how to do is present information in an engaging way to your audience. Press is a great way of doing this as are other online presentation tools such as Microsoft Sway and Emaze to name but two.

If you are asked to make a presentation in future - try using one of these.
